In response to the growing consumer desire for local and sustainably sourced, Montreal’s Public Markets (MPM) sought to expand their offerings by branding and packaging items derived from their farmers’ crops.
For the seed kit I was inspired by a recipe box, something functional and reminiscent of home cooking traditions. My goal was to provide not just seeds, but also a culinary experience that starts in the garden and ends at the dining table. I chose a fun and playful style which makes gardening and cooking feel less daunting for those just starting out. I then extended the product range to pickled vegetables, offering consumers a practical way to enjoy these crops throughout the year. I decided to use the tab detail from the seed kit to unify the design.
